The timeline for your project will depend on a variety of factors, including the complexity of the architectural design, the availability of specialized materials, the intricacies of the construction process, and, of course, the unpredictable forces of nature.  A custom home build typically ranges from 12 to 24 months from initial groundbreaking to the moment you receive your keys. What is the purpose of the Discovery phase?

The more information you can provide, the richer our understanding of your vision will be.

Following the Discovery phase, we collaborate with our network of highly skilled architects and designers to transform your vision into detailed architectural plans.  This involves creating floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and other essential documents that bring your future home to life.  We present these plans to you for review, incorporating your feedback and making any necessary revisions until you are completely satisfied with the design.

At the end of the project, you will receive a comprehensive homeowner’s manual, which includes warranties for appliances and materials, operating instructions for systems, and maintenance guidelines.  You will also receive copies of all permits, inspections, and other relevant project documentation.

How does ConstructionX's cost-plus pricing model work?

Our cost-plus model is built on transparency and fairness.  You pay the actual cost of all materials and labor, without any hidden markups.  We then add a pre-agreed management fee for our expertise, project management, and oversight.  This approach ensures you have complete visibility into every expense and allows for flexibility throughout the building process.

The Tarion warranty provides extensive coverage for various aspects of your new home, offering protection against defects in materials and workmanship. Key areas of coverage include:
